Grand Tour of Greece - 7 days/6 nights |

Prehistory, the Classical Period, Roman domination, the Byzantine Empire, the Crusades and Modern Times Greece through the Centuries will unfold before you on these 7 days/6 nights tour.
1.st day Leave by the coastal road to the Corinth Canal (short stop). Drive on and visit the Theatre of Epidaurus famous for its remarkable acoustics. Then proceed to the town of Nauplion (short stop), drive on to Mycenae and visit the archaeological site and the Tomb of Agamemnon. Then depart for Olympia through Central Peloponnese and the towns of Tripolis and Megalopolis. Dinner and overnight in Olympia, the cradle of the Olympic games.
2.nd day In the morning visit the archaeological site with the sanctuary of Olympian Zeus, the Ancient Stadium and the archaeological museum. Then drive on through the plains of Iliad and Achaia until the magnificent bridge which is crossing the Corinthian Bay from Rion to Antirion. Pass by the picturesque towns of Nafpaktos (Lepanto) and Itea, arrive in Delphi. Dinner and overnight.
3.rd. day In the morning visit the archaeological site and the museum. Depart for Kalambaka, a small town situated iat the foot of the astonishing complex of Meteora, gigantic rocks. Dinner and overnight.
4.th day Visit Meteora, among striking scenery, perched on top of huge rocks witch seems to be suspended in midair, stand ageless monasteries, where you can see exquisite specimens of Byzantine art. Depart from Kalambaka, drive through Trikala and Larissa, arrive and visit the archaeological site of Dion. Admire also from here the gigantic figure of Mount Olympos, the highest mountain in Greece and home of the 12 Gods (Greek mythology). After the visit depart for Thessaloniki, the second largest city of Greece. Dinner and overnight.
5.rd. day Depart in the morning for the town of Kastoria the Greek centre of the fur industry and also famous for its beautiful Lake. A prehistoric lake settlement 7000 years ago, was discovered here and you will admire the rare findings in the tiny local museum together with the recreation of the old settlement. After the visit of Kastoria, continue driving and arrive in the picturesque town of Edessa. Here you can sit next to the town’s famous landmark , the waterfall, and enjoy a drink or a cup of coffee. Last stop is Pella, the ancient capital of the kingdom of Macedonia. Visit the site and return to Thessaloniki. Dinner and overnight.
6.th day Morning city sightseeing in Thessaloniki. The afternoon for leisure. Dinner and overnight.
7.th day Depart from Thessaloniki in the morning and drive Vergina. Visit the very important museum with all the astonishing and priceless findings belonging to the Macedonian civilization which recent excavations brought to light. Here we shall also view the remains of King Philip’s (father of Alexander the Great) palace. After the visit we shall start driving south and through the Valley of Tempi, Lamia, Thermopylae (short stop for picture at the Leonida’s monument) and Kamena Vourla, arrive in Athens late in the afternoon.
