This tour provides you with an ideal opportunity to explore Macedonia, the land of Alexander the Great, make a unique journey through 7000 years of Greek history and meet parts of a countryside you will always remember.
1.st day
Drive through the fertile plain of Beotia region, passes by the towns of Thebes, Levadia and via the picturesque village of Arahova, arrives in Delfi. Visit the archaeological site and the museum. Depart for Kalambaka, a small town situated at the foot of the astonishing complex of Meteora gigantic rocks. Dinner and overnight.
2.nd day
Visit Meteora, among striking scenery, perched on top of huge rocks witch seems to be suspended in midair, stand ageless monasteries, where you can see exquisite specimens of Byzantine art. Depart from Kalambaka, drive through Trikala and Larissa, arrive and visit the archaeological site of Dion. Admire also from here the gigantic figure of Mount Olympos, the highest mountain in Greece and home of the 12 Gods (Greek mythology). After the visit depart for Thessaloniki, the second largest city of Greece. Dinner and overnight.
3.rd day
Depart in the morning for the town of Kastoria the Greek centre of the fur industry and also famous for its beautiful Lake. A prehistoric lake settlement 7000 years ago, was discovered here and you will admire the rare findings in the tiny local museum together with the recreation of the old settlement. After the visit of Kastoria, continue driving and arrive in the picturesque town of Edessa. Here you can sit next to the town’s famous landmark , the waterfall, and enjoy a drink or a cup of coffee. Last stop is Pella, the ancient capital of the kingdom of Macedonia. Visit the site and return to Thessaloniki. Dinner and overnight.
4.th day
Morning city sightseeing in Thessaloniki. The afternoon for leisure.

5.th day
Depart from Thessaloniki in the morning and drive Vergina. Visit the very important museum with all the astonishing and priceless findings belonging to the Macedonian civilization which recent excavations brought to light. Here we shall also view the remains of King Philip’s (father of Alexander the Great) palace. After the visit we shall start driving south and through the Valley of Tempi, Lamia, Thermopylae (short stop for picture at the Leonida’s monument) and Kamena Vourla, arrive in Athens late in the afternoon.
